US equipment maker Allis-Chalmers Energy has bought American CHECK VALVES
Well Control for $17.2 million in cash and 1 million shares of Allis-Chalmers common stock.

Texas-based American Well Control makes high-pressure valves used in hydraulic fracturing.
American Well Control makes 4-inch, 5-inch and 7-inch Torque BUTTERFLY VALVES
Master and Hydro Master valves rated to 10,000 psi to 20,000 psi.
American Well Control also offers service, parts and repairs on its valves.
For the twelve-month period ended December 31, 2009, the company generated revenues of about $18.5 million and estimated EBITDA of about $4.1 million, Allis Chalmers said in a release.
“We believe American Well Control has the best frac valve product GLOBE VALVE
in the market,” Allis-Chalmers boss Micki Hidayatallah said in a release.
“With an existing strong position for the frac valve product in the Haynesville Shale, American Well Control intends to increase its presence in the Marcellus, Eagle Ford and Bakken Shale markets by establishing service and repair facilities side by side with Allis-Chalmers’ existing locations.”
